INGREDIENTS: (2 generous serves)

   1 kg/2lbs beef short ribs
   1 tbsp sukiyaki sauce
   1 tbsp tomato sauce/ketchup
   1 tbsp extra-hot peri-peri sauce (or less if preferred)
   1 dsp lemon juice
   1-2 cloves garlic (crushed)
   1 tsp onion powder


Trim excess fat off ribs.

Crush garlic into a small mixing bowl.

Add all the sauces, lemon juice and onion powder, mix well.

Marinate the ribs for at least 2 hours.

Brown marinated ribs in an electric frypan (medium heat) to seal juices, save remaining marinade.

Lower temperature, pour remaining marinade over the ribs and allow to simmer for approx 2 hours, turning occasionally.

Increase heat to medium-low and continue to cook for a further 30mins, turning occasionally.

Increase heat to medium, cook for approx. 10 mins longer, turning more frequently, until nicely browned.

Serve with vegetables of your choice.
